Description

Duplicate Media Finder

Spot repeated uploads before tidying your media library. Scan files in batches and review groups with identical file contents, so you can investigate which copies are needed before making any changes.

What you can do

  • Find exact file duplicates rather than relying on similar names.
  • Keep an inventory of scanned assets and continue in small batches.
  • Export paginated JSON inventories for further review.
  • Inspect duplicate candidates without automatically deleting or replacing files.

Use

In the current release, open “Duplicate Media Report”. Scan successive batches, then export the scanned inventory. Confirm current assets and usages before manual consolidation.

Limits

Four MiB maximum per file; skipped files are counted. Groups compare with previously scanned files and can include stale cache candidates. No visual similarity, automatic deletion or consolidation.
