## Installation

## Start with a free reachability check

1. Open **EmDash Admin → Registry** and search for **WhatBuyersAsk Content Studio**.
2. Review the requested permissions and install the plugin.
3. Open **AI Reachability** to test your homepage or a published article.
4. Open **Connection → Connect WhatBuyersAsk**, approve the matching site and client in your account after signing in, then return and select **Finish connection**.
5. Use **Research**, **Article studio** or **AEO review** to continue your content workflow.

Your site needs plugin storage, an encrypted settings key and a compatible sandbox runner. Publishing inside the plugin needs EmDash's versioned content APIs and native publishing integration. Draft import needs a Posts collection with a title, Portable Text body and defaults for other required fields.

### What can I use for free?

The plugin is free to install. AI bot reachability checks need no WhatBuyersAsk account or research credits. Published EmDash posts can also receive a local editorial review. Connected research and article generation use your existing WhatBuyersAsk account and applicable plan or credits; research scope and credit cost appear before you start.

### How does this help agencies?

Use a repeatable process for each connected client: research buyer questions, choose a brief, add expertise, create an article, review its answers and evidence, then prepare it for publication in EmDash. Each installation connects to one approved client matching the site's website.

### Do featured images transfer automatically?

Generated images remain in WhatBuyersAsk for review. Download the selected image, upload it to EmDash media and assign it as the article's featured image. Automatic image transfer is not included in this version.

### What does the AEO review establish?

It provides editorial checks based on defined rules against the saved article and linked brief. Human editors still verify factual claims and source quality. The checks do not guarantee rankings or AI citations.

### Do reachability results prove real crawlers can visit?

The checker sends requests labelled as OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User and PerplexityBot from your CMS server. It checks the response, relevant robots.txt rules and readable HTML. Actual crawler IPs and private Cloudflare account settings require separate review.

### When does content become public?

Import creates a draft. Publication follows a review of the saved CMS version and a separate confirmation. Opening a page or refreshing saved status never starts research, generation or publication.
